Having had a child at 25 with my wife (also 25) and another since, I can tell you she has never been the “main caregiver.” Dads get away with this because mothers let them. She breastfed, I did nighttime diapers…. All of them. She kisses bobos, I kiss bobos. She helps with homework… I do science projects, tell them stories, and cook almost every meal. I do dishes, she does laundry, we both sweep and tidy. She needs time, I give it to her, and same for me.
